About Me

As a DONA doula I adhere to DONAs Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. I also work towards the mission for a doula for every woman who want one. As a Christian I work towards the mission of Mark 16:15. As a doula, my mission is to help bring healing to woman of our generation who have been taught that birth is a terrifying disease that must be cured and covered up. Hello! My name is Catherine Crawford and I am a DONA trained (soon to be certified) birth doula. I was trained by Melissa Harley, and have been studying and practicing as a doula for the past 2 years. Yet I still find there is so much more to learn and read. I want to be able to take what I know and help expectant mothers get the birth of their dreams. I hope you enjoy what I am able to share and pick up some tips to have a better birth. And I very strongly encourage all mothers to try and get a doula to attend their birth.
